Founding Idea and Goal

　The School of Medicine aims to mold superior clinicians. We endeavor to produce physicians not only with considerable professional knowledge and clinical skills, but also individuals with a desire to continue learning new techniques. In addition, we believe that an effective caregiver must possess compassion as well as knowledge.
　Six years of medical education is the period for building such a foundation in each of our students, so as to enable them to mature into a model clinician after passing the national medical licensing examination. The building of this foundation is the essential mission of the School of Medicine.

　The purpose of the School of Nursing is to foster—both mentally and physically—healthy and reliable medical professionals who respect nature, life, and other human beings and are able to treat all people fairly with an independent spirit.
　We help students to acquire sufficient knowledge and skills in nursing, to continue learning to keep up with progress in the medical world in a changing society, to contribute to the advancing global medical profession, and to assist people in leading healthier lives.
