The Doctoral Program offers the following five research fields: morphological studies, functional studies, social medicine, non-surgical medicine, and surgical medicine. Each field is further divided into more specialized areas of study.
Only medical school graduates who have completed their two-year primary clinical clerkship can be accepted into the non-surgical and surgical medicine research programs. These programs aim to produce professional clinicians and supervising doctors with superior research skills. Morphological studies, functional studies, and social medicine are considered basic medicine research programs and are open not only to medical school graduates, but also to candidates with a master’s degree from any field outside medical science. These programs aim to produce researchers with advanced professional knowledge and research skills and educators who are accomplished researchers.
