Branding Project
Toho University, founded on the principle Nature, Life, and Man, will continue to reexamine its ideas, its culture, and its character, which have continued to evolve during its 80-year history. We feel now is the time to more firmly establish our identity so that our institution will continue to flourish.
New Logo

This logo symbolizes Toho University’s founding spirit, “Nature, Life and Man,” which has directed us since the university was established.
The icons, representing the motifs of “Nature, Life and Man,” constitute a blue earth and symbolize an outlook on the world that tells us the importance of harmony and coexistence with nature and life surrounding us. The symbol, which also tells us the importance of helping, compensating, examining and loving each other, stands for the pleasure of “living in the natural world and entrusting our life to Mother Nature.”
Finally, it represents the direction in which Toho University should work, that is, it has a mission of producing experts with broader horizons beyond individual self who study and contribute to humanity and all other living creatures.
